Well once you consider the number of DLs, deleted accounts, inactive posters, trolls, psychopaths, Finns, geeks, angst ridden teenagers and hairy Greeks/Macedonians you realise those odds aren't as good as they appear.

        Welcome, DanaLea.

        What's your preferred game? Civ2, Civ3, other?

Be sure to visit the strategy forums and drink in the knowledge. Post your questions and watch the "wisdom" flow.

BTW -- 20k is a gross overestimate of the actual (vs "ever-been-registered") population here. But in terms of gender ratios, it certainly is "a lot to a little."

          Civ3

was given a copy of civ way back in the day... first version. bought civ2 when it came out, loved the changes. (then lost the game!) recently bought civ3. like some of the changes, but I didn't like all they took out from civ2. also, I pretty much agree with the idea that the game was shipped unfinished. just because you include the means for players to add to the game doesn't mean you shouldn't wait for it to be "finished". the editor is for mods, not so we can fix what you didn't want to / didn't have time to.

          ok, off the soapbox.

Welcome, Dana. It's always good to see females around here...
I watched you fall. I think I pushed.

This place ceases to amaze me, one poster turns out to be a female and everyone goes gaga.

Oh, wait, she posted a picture, never mind...

Well, I've campaigned for them to, if they don't give us the option of changing the date format, at least put it as, say, 25-Oct-2002. But I have yet to get a reply from them.

I like the date format. After all, I'm used to it.

I'm surprised no-one has done the DL dance.

DLs don't complain about date formats...

I think it would be nice if you could choose the date format. There are more than enough American posters to make the effort worthwhile.

As a point of information can anyone tell me if Canadian posters are also afflicted with an odd date format?

If you do this, could you also implement the ISO standard YYMMDD format?

Have you considered how you would abbreviate DanaLea?

Yeah, the format of the dates can be changed on a global level, but the current format suits me fine. The US system confuses me...

Which is why I want 25-Oct-2002. It's a nice compromise that isn't confusing.
