Er, why on earth would demogamers mind people seeing what they talk there? I mean, open and public relay of information from the government to the people is a cornerstone of a democratic system.

I didn't speak of hiding information, but I more like referred to the nameless and hidden lurkers. Wouldn't it be better if you could see how many persons are really in the chatroom and who they really are? Isn't that also being open and public? At least that would mean everyone would know who's in the chatroom, while you couldn't be incognito."Kids, don't listen to uncle Solver unless you want your parents to spank you." - Solver

Anonimity, like electoral secret, is another cornerstone of democracy (not taking slander etc. into account of course). Why would we want to know how many people are there? I see no logical reason.
Knowing the amount for demographical purpose, as in finding out how many citizens are attending, is a possibility, but as it is we would have to go through the strenous task of noting down the chat attenders (which on it's own would be... questionable at least) and comparing the names to the Citizen Registry.
We have nothing to hide.Cake and grief counseling will be available at the conclusion of the test. Thank you for helping us help you help us all!

This is not a democracy damn it! Shame on you for not knowing.
Markos,
As far as I can tell, the chat rooom feature is rather CPU intensive. So why not limit the access to registered users? This way, there is more incentive to register. Also, you can have more users on the server without it bombing out.(\__/) 07/07/1937 - Never forget
