Over the past couple of days more than half my attempts at posting have been obliterated after clicking post reply.

How long is the extra traffic expected to last, and are there anyway to alleviate the symptoms?

When you start getting the 'server too busy' messages, or experience slowdown, copy your answers.

What is the usual limit on the max number of users, a while ago when civ 3 came out we topped out at 968 simultaneous users... it seems to me that the limit nowdays is more like around 400 before the server chokes.

On a decent browser (like Opera) you don't have to copy your answers.

So that explains why my thread never appeard? Although I never got an error message, it just went back to the OT forum, with my thread nonexistent. Is it the server, or am I just an ?

I'd always get error messages, be they Apolyton generated or "cannot locate server" messages.
