God what a screw up. A victim of its own success. Would moving to another server help?

Eliminate default styles, and enforce a light style for everyone, with the default feature of the "Who Posted in this Thread" link. The rest is all unneccessary BLAH.Concrete, Abstract, or Squoingy?

that's a bit unrelated to interview that was posted yesterday and is linked today from a dozen gaming news sites...Co-Founder, Apolyton Civilization Site

I disabled avatars in my profile anyway, to speed up the loading time a little bit as the new board was introduced. So I didn't notic anyway.

Keep the avatars going bye-bye when heavy load of users... but would that help in cutting back on the guest strain?I'm not conceited, conceit is a fault and I have no faults...

I'm going to miss Uber's ranting Homer Avatar.
Too bad Markos that you don't agree with Rasbelin. Here is how I would do it (and NO, I don't want your job).
Code ONE
Normal Bandwith: Not that many people surfing the forums, everyone get's their avatar.
Code TWO
Brownout: Getting close to max bandwith. Those who are King or higher and mods/admins keep their avatars.
Code THREE
Blackout: At or beyond max bandwith. Only mods/admins keep their avatars.
Code FOUR
Total Annihilation: All forums NOT dealing with Civ3/MOO3 are disabled. In fact you can't surf there.
Code ALL MUST DIE!
"Oh Frig it": Markos pulls the plug on the server for 48 hours (NOT counting weekends).I drink to one other, and may that other be he, to drink to another, and may that other be me!
