I never browse without mouse gestures. I have also been experiencing a slow down and have had to return to IE to view this site.

btw, i dont understand why someone would choose opera over mozilla

            1. Speed.

            2. Address bar at the bottom of the screen (option).

            3. Window bar at the side of the screen (option).

            4. Active bookmark folder button.

            5. Automatic reopening of windows present when closing (option).

            6. Habit and anticipation of Opera 7.

actually i made a small test on the civ3 section homepage and mozilla was faster at showing me the whole layout and text

              2. Address bar at the bottom of the screen (option).

              3. Window bar at the side of the screen (option).
              dont need them

              4. Active bookmark folder button.
              which does what?

              5. Automatic reopening of windows present when closing (option).
              dont need it

              6. Habit and anticipation of Opera 7.
cant apply to a non-opera user....

I don't know what features Mozilla has these days, but I have become very used to having 10 sites or so open at the exact page I want to start browsing from each day.

Funny, I experienced the page constantly reloading annoyance this morning for the first time.

If you know how much pain you give to website builders, for sure if those websites are complex, like ie. Apolyton, than you don't use other browsers than MSIE 5.5 or higher.

And pherhaps browser X is better, but as long as people keep using different browsers with different standards, things will never be better, and you'll confuse website builders more, and you'll be a stay in the way for new improvements.

                        Whatever, dude...

I'm basically checking if I'm not the only one with the problem at the moment.

Jeez, what a load of crap. There are no different standards, there is just the one. Now if Micros**t would actually keep itself to them everything would be dandy.

Just design your sites in Opera and they will work in every browser...

And what new improvements are you talking about? The blink or the marquee tag?

you obviously are not a designer of complex websites.
Ever heard of hiding / showing divisions, redirection, replacing context, to just name a few.

Why should the biggest browser change so the smallest one works with it? If Opera wants to survive it should change into MS direction.

MS = the standard, about 90% of the people uses MSIE. It's BS to keep on claiming that MS is not living up to the standard. They create the standard. Live with it. That's the way it is.
