Transport Tycoon was great and I'd like to see what Sid could do with it. In my opinion, adding a competant AI and a fresh coat of paint on the graphics would be perfect.

Though I voted for Colonization, its one of my all time favourite games, I also would love to see Pirates. Unfortunately, the 5 1/4" floppies mine are on dont seem to fit into my drive....lol

I'm going with my current theory of a MoM/Pirates! hybrid that uses algorithims from a scrapped X-COM/Settlers hybrid.

XCOM. After the first - and best - game the rest just couldn't follow up. TFTD is quite crapolous while Apocalypse is mediocre at best. UFO: Aftermath can be facinating but it's not XCOM.

I even thought of a storyline for the new game. After we defeated the alien base on Mars, we found clues as to their origins and XCOM decided to launch an operation to find out more.

                  Mom 2

Nothing fancy, just spruce the visuals, get it to run on modern rig, crush the fews bugs in 1.31, balance out a few odds and ends, hire Alan Emerich to write the strat guide after the game has been out and inevitably patched once or twice - wait, if done right his original guide should do just about fine...

...and finally get it done right the first time in short order and sell is for $30-$35 so whoever does it can move on to other projects and us MoM fans can get back to our game!

Oh well, a guy can dream can't he...

                    Colonization

                    A quick follow-up...

I'm not ready to change my vote yet but there was another thread on Apolyton that included a link to http://www.abandonkeep.com which has a copy of Colonization for download. Well, I just had about 4 hours slip away in a blink and I may need to reevalute my thinking on this whole thing. I'm sure I have barely scratched the surface on gameplay and strategy but I can clearly see this is a classic game. Thing I can't figure out is why did it never cross my path before...
