Actually, I don't think that those images are necessary at all. Sure, they add a little humor to the mods actions, but they're merely eye-candy.

Sometimes, a simple sentence like "You're banned" delivers a stronger punch.

Yes, as with most humor, after the first few times it's no longer funny. You must keep the pictures fresh. That sounds like a heck of a lot of work to me. I may use one every now and then for effect, but I doubt it will be standard.

- When's the last time you saw either of the Mac people (Steve Wilson and Mark Hunter)? AFAIK they left the site over a year ago (at least as active posters/webmasters)...
