  • Has the reintroduction of Apolyton Quotes increased the posting rate?

Has anyone noticed an increase in posting following the introduction of the quotes or has throughput actually decreased as more 'Poly time is speant reading the quotes rather than reading and replying to threads.

I don't know about the effect caused by quotes, but people seem to be less active in OT. Perhaps it has something to do with the summer vacations in the northern hemisphere?

I'm back now, so I'll do my best to increase the number of posts made...

I don't think I'm really posting more because of the quotes. But I have just had a couple of ideas for my pet AC-Fiction projects, so those have drawn a few posts.
Everything changes, but nothing is truly lost.

I don't think those quotes have increased the amount of posts, but the increasing amount of new posters has more likely caused that. And the fact that quite many Europeans are having their summer holidays now indeed causes some decrease in the amount of posts.

But aaglo and Skanky seem to have...

              ...hi-jacked this thread.

Talking about a summer holiday and just a few posts about the subject. So that's what called on-topic?

Anyway, just had to test my new Ming picture.

You mean the quotes on the transition page after posting? I hardly see them, as I switch to another browser window while it posts.

At least for me, it doesn't make me more likely to post but it does make waiting more enjoyable.

Oooohhhh those quotes. Those are great. I've actually copied a few of those because I liked them so much. For most of this thread I was completely lost.

*Rubs hands together* let's see what I get this time.

Oh and in order to contribute to the conversation (I don't remember the last time my post count increased) are you kidding?

                            I love the quotes.
Maybe they do make me post more, just cause they make the poly experience more enjoyable.

They definitely make my posts longer at the moment, due to the signature that I poached from a quote.

Yeap, those are indeed nice to have. But those longer ones are perhaps abit too long IMO.
