  • British Apolytoners' Meet - 20th July

It's been discussed in the OT for quite a while now, but I think it ought to appear here as well. For those who avoid the asylum, here are the details,

Saturday 20th July, 12pm onwards, Moon Under Water (Wetherspoons), Charing Cross Road, London

All are welcome, particularly those willing to donate alcohol to poor, penniless student members of the Community.

EDIT: Seems there are *two* Moon Under Water pubs within vicinity of each other. We're heading for the one on Charing Cross Road. Wherever that is.

I could have sworn it has a back entrance on Leicester Square.

You did have a lot to drink then.

Was it the only pub you went to last time?

Is there a different Wetherspoons on Leicester Square then?

Not to my recollection - There are a few bars, and restaurant seatings, but no Wetherspoons AFAIK.

Most of Leicester Square is taken up by the cinemas.

Nonsense, the Moon Under Water opens onto the Square at the back.

Only if Greek Street is a pseudonym for Leicester Square.

It clearly is In any case, it seemed to me like I was in Leicester Square at the time. Anyway, only time will tell.

At the ACOL/Poly meet last September we ended up in the Slug & Lettuce, which IIRC is next to Stringfellows. Mind you, I wasn't in the world's best state by then.
