  • Markos! Now the ultra-special has gone mad!

OK, you obviously saw me telling yesterday that I haven't seen a popup with the ultra-sepcial. When I logged in, I saw one, but, over the last 5 minutes, I saw 6 popups! When loading Apolyton community, Civ3-General, whatever else, and when clicked on New Thread here!

I understand you get money for popups, but this is a bit too much, eh . And yes, I see request to www.popuptraffic.com in the statusbar... come on Markos, plz .

    end rant.

Oh well, I do now get a popup for EACH PAGE LOAD!!!

This is starting to look like the worst of porn sites, you know .

BTW, if I go back to normal styles, I'll at least see the banners with you shooting at kittens . You know, your look really reminds me of someone...

To be honest, I certainly prefered the no-popups style . BTW, what did you do to make me see the first popup today?

          Is the site Mozilla compatible?

the site runs fine on mozilla
if you use mozilla, you can check if the cookie exists and when it expires

Checked, tweaked some options, and looks like it's all right now.

BTW, on Mozilla, it looks very small, I gotta use zoom of 125-130%. Will post a screen after I have played Civ.

Keep in mind it's Linux Mozilla...

                  That's because windows sucks

OK, I'm now in Windows and going to run Civ, then I'll probably post a screenshot when I return. Maybe it's a fonts issue, those tend to happen, but other sites look OK. Does Apolyton try to use any fonts?

Yes, I have problems with the Apolyton fonts when accessing from a Solaris or Linux machine (using Netscape) as well. I've found that, in Netscape at least, you can choose to 'use default fonts, overwriting document-specific fonts' to overcome this problem. Maybe Mozilla has a similar option?

Given that Mozilla is Netscape based... let me look... well there's a similar option, will now post back.

You bastard, you use Solaris, too? I so much want to see it...

Heh, we are probably the biggest/most advance CS faculty in the country over here, we have more OSs than you can shake a stick at

(but in case you're wondering, yes, Solaris is very, very good )

Locutus is again telling that he's the most advanced, the most clever, the borgest, etc .

Solaris I haven't worked with due to, erm, stuff associated with obtaining it. Other than that, you can hardly name popular OSs I've not worked with .

Nah, I'm just pointing out we have a big uni with lots of OSs. I usually only use Windows myself. Linux is nice to play around with when you're bored and Solaris/Unix is inevitable when you have to work on workstations rather than PCs, but I prefer to just use Windows for everything (since it's the only OS CtP2 will run on )
