  • All smileys are not equal?

I notice that if you type, (something:confused</b>:</b>) then it comes out (something). Clearly the smiley has been reduced to the status of a second-class smiley, and I for one believe that all smileys were created equal. Yes, I'm bored.

Exactly, you're bored, but when I was asking Stefu to make a please smiley, I typed:

Stefu, can we heave a smiley?

And yeah, got in the way.

Yeah, it's somewhat annoying but it can easily be avoided with strategicaly placed '&ltb&gt&lt/b&gt's so it's not a big deal...

Why bother? Takes more time to type it, then, and no great idea behind it .

          It's only 7 characters

And HTML should be second nature for nerds like us

How do you think I managed to type (something:confused</b>:</b>) without any smileys appearing? I'm just noting that the smiley takes precedence over the smiley

For smileys, there's even a simpler solution: just place a space between the smiley and the bracket, and it will work ( )
