hi ,
intresting to walk in a shopping street in belgium , ...
shop 1 , civ3 , 49.95 euro 1.07f
shop 2 , civ3 , 45.99 euro 1.16f
in all ; 4 shops , 4 prices , ....
the cheapest seems to be a cash and carry (shop 5) , 34.99 euro , ...but they only get ones a month somany games from infogrames , or should that read infog....
the way they deal , well , there are far more experienced dealers out there , smaller , yes , better , yes , ....
lets hope they dont go infogrames with PTW , ...

The LOCIS database at the Library of Congress indicates that Infogrames Interactive, Inc. owns the copyright to CivIII. As such, Firaxis has no say in the matter. Infogrames will be the publisher of PTW.What's so funny 'bout peace, love and understanding?Comment

, some people did a check , a while ago , saying that they had problems , on the phone it was all about the graphics card and so , only 4 out of 108 calls was it suggested to update to the new patch , .....
at least Firaxis talks to us , .....the listen , give feedback and so on , ....
infogrames ; nothing , nada , zip , zero , .....
and when they do , ......pfffffffffff those calls where made in the two weeks after 1.21 , ....

Nope. Infogrames owns CivIII, not Firaxis, so there is no deal to break. Firaxis are just the hired hands. They could refuse to code PTW, but then Infogrames could just hire someone else.Originally posted by panag

Sid would not do that , and since they are bad in their job , the contract should be broken , ......
PTW could be sold without the need from infogrames , ....
hire other people , , smell's like a courtcase , that Sid and Firaxis could take home , .....

Echinda: Actually, Firaxis owns the trademark to PTW, not Infogrames. I assume that Firaxis will want to replicate the system across several of their games, not necessarily all of which are to be published by Infogrames.I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. I already told you. The LOCIS database, which contains the names of all registered copyright owners in the US shows that Infogrames owns CivIII. I can't give you a direct link because you have to use telnet to access it, but go to http://www.copyright.gov/records/ and click the link that launches a telnet session and you can look it up yourself.Originally posted by panag

As I said, no it can't. Infogrames owns CivIII. If Firaxis tried to sell PTW without their permission they would get their butts sued off.PTW could be sold without the need from infogrames , ....

Firaxis didn't hire Infogrames. Infogrames hired Firaxis. There is no court case for Sid to bring.
