It just goes through your directories and looks for known spyware. You can take that stuff and put in a backup directory. And can eventually delete it if you want to. Just DL it. Or go to www.lavasoftusa.com. They have the info there.

My question is what do you mean by "doesn't come on?" Do you mean the program runs but can't access the Internet? If so, try removing the program from the list of programs in ZoneAlarm, then run it again and grant it the rights it asks for.(\__/) 07/07/1937 - Never forget

BUT how do you know the software GP recommends to eliminate spyware is not in fact putting spyware on your computer?Any views I may express here are personal and certainly do not in any way reflect the views of my employer. Tis the rising of the moon..

It doesn't matter either: let's suppose it get's rid of 30 pieces of spyware and puts 1 back, then you are still winningIs God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. So just how does so much spyware end up on one's computer? About the only things I download are updates to various programs I have on my computer, or the occasional file helper. I also have an old iMac (circa May 1999) that's the main "surfin" machine.
