    Nope, not me.

I wish it would disappear out of Light-style, but it's there because of the Civ3-files forum...

        I don't normally rate threads.

But when someone asks that question I usually rate the thread with a 1. Sorry

I gave it a 3, just to stuff the stats up.

OMG... there have been so many petitions to remove the feauture, but Markos *likes* it, so your question of "Mark, will you remove it?" will be answered with a "no".

I really enjoy some threads with low ratings, and don't pay attention to the stuff at all.

What a waste! It's a totally untrustworthy way to judge whether to view a thread. IMHO, this feature is a waste of processing power, bandwidth, and screen real estate.

Would love to see this feature removed. Thanks for the oppty to vent.

Jrabbit, while I'm seconding this, I really don't believe the request will be granted.

I've seen this topic in the past and noted the (apparently steadfast) refusal of site management to make a change. That's fine.

But this refusal does make me wonder why.......... Possible scenarios:

                        1. It's part of a (vBull?) software package and thus a real pain to excise.
                        2. It somehow helps the Mods in their duties.
                        3. MarkG really enjoys rating threads.

Frankly, it's in the "mostly harmless" category, but there's a part of me that resents anything that might slow down my load time without providing any discernable value.

I must say, I love Zopperoni's idea of having a Style or two where this feature is avoidable. Good thought!

The ones that get rated seem to be either 1 or 5 - 1 if it is a flame war, 5 if it is a PBEM or succession game. It's good to see this one fall in between, I'll give it a 4.

I've rated only about 5 threads so far...

                              I allways give Suomithreadi a "5"

                              don't usually rate other threads.
