  • Too Many World Cup Threads

Come on Mods. You complain about others doing stuff like this. Let there be one and get it over with.
Which side are we on? We're on the side of the demons, Chief. We are evil men in the gardens of paradise, sent by the forces of death to spread devastation and destruction wherever we go. I'm surprised you didn't know that. --Saul Tigh

Oh, it will all be over in less than a week, and with just 2 games left there won't me many more threads (hopefully).

Expect one more "I don't believe those jammy German b******s won the world cup" on Sunday afternoon.

It will be over by Monday morning.
One day Canada will rule the world, and then we'll all be sorry.

Yeah, and there are too many ME threads. And threads about Americans. And threads about Europeans. And threads about European/American relations. Come to think of it there are too many threads about people! We should just have one "people" thread. C'mon Mods!

What's so funny 'bout peace, love and understanding?

They should go back and delete the other ones.

Seriously. there were three threads on how the host countries handled the games. There were numerous threads on this team was robbed. There were threads when a team won and a thread for the team that lost, from the same match. A bit much if you ask me. In case some of you didn't know there are entire forums for Soccer on other sites.

I was joking. Let people post what they want. It's OT after all.

But the mods have stated in the past that multiple threads on the same subject is against the rules. In order to be consistent, they should have nipped this in the bud when they saw it happening.

As I tried to illustrate with my "people" thread example, I think you're being a little narrow in what you consider "multiple threads on the same subejct."

There's only four days of the World Cup left, and then you start complaining?

Live with it, it's only something that happens once every four years...

It happens once every four years... get over it.
The same thing happens in US presidential years.

I saw no reason to have nipped it in the bud. As it was, I did delete some multiple threads, and closed a few others. But lighten up... for many people this is important. Let them have their fun...

RIP rah, Tony Bogey & Baron O

Yeah...I have a bad feeling that Germany will catch Brazil on a bad day so finessing our 1 - 5 result in Munich last September

I'm sure when we have just as many AFL final threads for the aussie rules finals no-one will mind
