  • MarkG: How do you restrict the width and hight of avators ?

    Hey Mark,

Currently I'm busy implementing an avator functinality in my self-created messageboard.
I can't find out how to restrict the pixel-size of the images the members upload.

Can you tell me how you did ?

    thanks in advance,

if you want to do that for me, I'll be very thankfull !

My msgboard is completely self-made, no UBB or something.
If you ever want to step over from UBB to CyberShy's msgboard system, just tell me (never tested with more than 8 users at the same time though )

It might need a little more load testing before full-scale use then.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

hey, it's already being full-scale used,
but not on huge loads as apolyton.

But I think there are very little messageboards on the internet with that much activity.

There are about 200 new posts a day on my msgboard. Somtimes more then 50 an hour.

I'll setup a demosite soon, and invite apolytoners to come over and test it.
It has some nice features, as "Who read this post so far" and it does very well show which posts are new and which ones did you read before (not threads, but posts)

I need to work more on the postcount system though.

I get: connection refused on IE.

                      So, it's not just you.

Yeah, it is just one of the administrative option of the vB engine, it is pretty straightforward.
