  • MING please be more anti-piracy!

Ming, (Whiskey tango foxtrot) I advise being more firmly anti-piracy.

Your remarks in this closed thread sound like a whink/whink support of piracy:

It is the policy of this site not to provide links to sites that "pirate" software. So... please respond to this request via email or PM...

    Thank You.

All he is saying is that, they can not condone and yet we know you are going to do it, so do it where we can't see it. How are they supposed to stop it?
Don't try to confuse the issue with half-truths and gorilla dust!

I don't see Ming advocating a more anti illegal copying stance is going to stuff them up, so he might as well save the bandwidth for a real debate thread.

He should have locked the thread and stated the policy against piracy. Why tell people to use another method to do something wrong. At least just don't say anything. But this was the equivalent of "go drink off school property". At least say nothing...no reason to encourage people...

BTW, this is the first time I've ever said anything remotely anti-Ming...and this is still mild. He knows I support him, G/T in hand...

The thought any anyone in advertising supporting "Intellectual" property is rather entertaining.

We all pay for it later, in terms of no\less new developments, or exorbitant price hikes.

At least the pirates won't be affected by the latter.

Well none of the staff are publically advocating piracy and want to keep it off their site, but private messages are really beyond their jurisdiction. What more would you like them to do? Violate your privacy?

It's not Mings job to stop Piracy. It's just his job to keep it from being discussed here. He can't be held responsible for what happens outside Poly.
