I'm posting exactly what I want to post. I never claimed not to be a spammer. I just use more words than most spammer to try to convey some sort of meaningful message. I don't necessarily believe what I am writing.

I MUST say that SMAC is better for my politicaly-incorrect-sociopathic-halusagenic-megalomaniacal tendencies. However, I also am forced to agree with you guys that I can't go back to civ2 (culture, unique civs and resources are too important) even if I find civ3 linear as hell. and ctp1/2 was fun, but it wasn't as replayable and by the time I got to 21st century techs it became a mess.

Yeah, i bought the LE on the first day it came out. It has been shelved and uninstalled for quite some time now. Awefull IMHO.
