  • What's the thing with post count?

I've noticed that my post count doesn't increase at all regardless of how many messages I post. I've checked my profile every now and then around the day, but no change.
And even more so: I could swear that my profile told I had 62 posts. Now I have 60? ...and these numbers seem quite absurd to me anyway. I'm quite convinced that this forum "misses" some of the posts I write??
Or is the post count updated once in a while, thus the number increases only once a week or something like that?
    I'm confused in any case...

    Hmmm...
I can't explain why your post count went down..
*I checked and you didn't show up on the PCR list*

But I can tell you that posting in the Off Topic forum doesn't add to your count. That is the only forum where posts don't get added to your total... because, they are OFF TOPIC and not game related.
    Keep on Civin'

Strictly speaking, Ming, posts here don't relate to the game either.

Posts I've made here regarding my OT posts DO count towards my PC, while the OT posts in question do not. And this message referencing my posts here referencing my posts there also counts. It's all a bit surreal.

Some do, usually those who think it gives them respect amongst the newbies.

Heck, if I didn't want my custom avatar back, I wouldn't care a whit about my post count. Just gotta get myself up to 500, then stay in the OT forever!
oh god how did this get here I am not good with livejournal

Do you have a PCR list of the entire history of Poly, on when, and how many %s the PCRs were? Or is it just recent PCRs listed?

Our current list of restrictions and PCR's goes back to April of 2001. There is a thread established in the "Staff Room" forum (private) that provides all the details of any offense.

Since we have multiple people that enforce the rules, it was key that we had a central place to keep this kind of information, so that everybody could be informed and be able to answer questions.

Before that, I used to be the "clearing house" for this information.
I had an excel file where I listed all the information. Whenever an action was taken, people were "supposed" to send me a note with the appropriate information. This was not the best way to do it, because only I could view it. I used to send updated copies of it to Mark on an irregular basis.

Once Mark established a "private forum", it only made sense to start keeping track of it there.

I do have the old records... but they aren't complete... yet they do go back to the day I was made a mod.
