    Woohoo!!

Question though: Why is there a dinosaur forum?? Wouldnt that be outside of this site's scope too??
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

No and no. Choosing where to put buildings and how much to charge for a hamburger is not strategy, its economics.
Should I have tried the demo?

Reading your comment makes me think how much gaming experience you have...
            Let me enlighten you:
Despite not existing an army to control in Theme Park, you still have to successufully manage the money you have; it is, as you said economics, but it's economics strategy! Whatever you do in that game you must have a successful economic strategy!

Now let's talk about Civ. You have several combat units. In order to achieve world domination, you must have a successful warmonging strategy. BUT, in order to do that, you must have a successfully elaborated economic strategy, so you don't ruin your civ's economy with the war effort! This is precisely what you don't consider to be strategy!
You can't consider not having war in a game to not consider it to be a strategy game!

Grow up, man! And play more game varieties!

Exactly my point. In Sim-whatever you have a certain amount of money to manage strategically. In Civ, you have that and about 18 other things to balance as well. Now which one requires more strategy? One thing, or many things?
Ok, so economic strategy is strategy, but "do I build a burger bar or an ice-cream store" isn't the height of decision making IMO...

Damn! The demo for SimGolf was awesome! I was hoping for a SimGolf forum for exchanging courses to play championship courses on and stuff.

So anyone else played SimGolf?? Just curious
