  • Trip - you'd better believe it. The guilty for that is Bugsy/Laz/Ron Jeremy...
I'm not a complete idiot: some parts are still missing.

What you mean is the lack thereof.

My professor did when I tried to use one on my paper. I was shocked.

Remember that scandal a couple of months ago when a website reportedly mis-stated a fact. That shook my formerly undoubting faith for a while.

I do. It was almost as bad as when that Chinese newspaper belived an Onion story. Of course that is when I also found out the Onion was only satire because it was reported on multiple online news sites. Go figure.

              • When my dad used internet for academic research in its early days, the first replies were from Finland.
What is it about Finland and the internet?
"I'm so happy I could go and drive a car crash!"

                • Sheesh! This thread is just continuing, even if it already started months ago when I droped by here last time.
Wouldn't it be time to close the thread, or is it going to be the second mayor Finnish coupe de attaché on Poly? So who's the ring leader this time? Stefu again?

And I agree with sabrewolf that there just can't be that many Finns around here, or then there would already be a Finnish subsection on ACS.

stop giving them ideas! We'd end up with a finnish moderator then, do you want that? do you?

                        • *plenty of hard, boring and intuitive brainwork inside Rasbey's head*

Doesn't sound bad at all... A Finnish Poly section or even a complete translation on the content of the pages!

Looks like we soon have that, if Markos or Dan are on an extra abnormal mood. Or would it be worth that...

*Rasbey gets a late wake up call*

Heck! What did I just say? A Finnish Poly section?!? No way! The excisting ACS is already good enough.

But I haven't even gone to sleep...

                            • Asleep? Man, I ate "breakfast" at about 4 PM yesterday; and dinner 2 AM today. And I went out for a walk before dinner to the cemetery and beyond it. Yeap, now someone is about to say that old good me is more than abnormal. After that I watched the movie U-571 I bought recently on a summer DVD sale. But it's OT...

Interesting indeed, but let's summarise that Finland is the 3rd highest ranked country in the world in Internet connectivity in the availability of PC's with Internet connection compared to the population. Iceland should still top the list, and Sweden or Norway was number two. Denmark is close on its fourth position.

This doesn't answer your question, but gives you an insight how connected the Finno-Scandinavian countries are.
