  • Textareas with Netscape 6

They only fill 25% of the screen width. Can you add a width in the css for them?

Text area is an HTML element, not a CSS element. The width is controlled by an option in the HTML tag and cannot be affected by CSS.

    CSS handles layout, not structure.

Besides, it seems that only ACS has this problem.

It can be set as a layout as well, fixing the width in pixels.

I have heard that VBB is not entirely compatible with Netscape.

Well, I know that Linux isn't compartible with IE.

The thing is that it could be fixed by editing the style of the TEXTAREA to fix the width in pixels to something that would look good on 800x600.

At home I have no problems with Netscape 4.5 and Opera 5 (on a Windoze computer) with this issure. It only occurs with Netscape 6.2.

Here at university I am using a Linux computer, and here the problem occurs, too for Netscape 4.7 for Linux.

Why not just change the number of columns?
