  • Old Html Forum Pages Restored

A few weeks ago we took off the entire of our old forum html pages to reduce space use. While all the posts of these threads were included in the new forum database, link to the threads existed both on our site as well others. Therefore, we have restored part of these threads. More specifically we have brought back threads for the forums of Civ2-General and Civ2-Strategy, the Clash of Civilizations forums, the CTP2-Creation forums and several others. Replying on these threads via the html pages is not possible of course.

We hope to have the old archives(which are not included in the forum database) restored as well soon.

    Thanks a ton for that
As you no doubt know, for us modmakers (at least CtP2 modmakers) being able to access old threads is absolutely vital

This is good. You mentioned that you brought back threads to specific areas- what about the ohter areas of the site, were they returned there as well?

So the rest are they going to be restored or not?

I am particularly interested on CtP-Multiplaying forum.

Some threads that are linked with cheats and some CtP Ratings rules, some informational threads, some multiplayer strategies, some discussion threads and many previous game threads that include usefull history.

In some words all those threads that CtP multiplayers need them from time to time and can't be topped cause they are many!

Markos, have you decided yet? I need to know if you are going to restore CtP-Multiplaying old threads or not. I currently organize and run new PBEM games and other things in this forum and I must find some older threads. I personaly believe that all threads should be restored but if you are not intent to then it would be nice to temporary restore them for 1-2 weeks to bring up some important threads and possibly back up some others in case they are needed.

Thanks and sorry for the pressure
