• Should there be a forum for Apolyton Meetings?

We now have several threads about meetings in planning in the OT, and it would be very helpful if there was a special forum for that. There are such sub-sections at other boards, and those often produce even less meetings than us

Now that all of Europe uses the same currency (except for the UK, but that's just a question of time (yes, I'm just talking about halfway civilised countries)), the will to travel around will increase dramatically, therefore there will also be more meetings.

I think they should get the existing forums working properly before they think about adding any new ones.

In principle I am for a new forum

I suggested this a couple of months ago, but got no reponse from the management. I had a thread about it aswell, somewhere...

The last thing we need are more forums that nobody reads.

It'll turn out like the Other Games forum, it all gets posted in OT anyway so somebody reads it.

The nay-sayers are no doubt the ones that never go to meets anyway.

Yeah, don't see Asher or Cali offering to come to the UK meeting, Holland meeting, or the Benilux expedition

That would make sense...

But what's the problem with keeping them in the OT? They're not exactly flooding the OT with posts, and they'll get more traffic that way. The only advantage to having a seperate forum is post counts, which are absolutely useless.

And I don't exactly see everyone else flying up to Calgary to meet me. I can't afford to fly to England just to be raped by PH or EiF or whatever. I'm a student! Yarr.

I wouldn't want your smelly arse anyway

I dunno, I hate having all my information spread out amongst several forums. So I am sorry to seem like a traitor, but I would rather stick with the present format.

We do not see a reason for a sub-forum for Apolyton Meetings. I believe that "Apolyton/Community" continues to suffice for this purpose.

Does this mean all future "Meet" threads should/can be posted here and not in the OT?

What's wrong in this forum? It's about the Community, right? I don't know why is it posted in the OT forum, since the subject of discussion is about the community meetings.

yeah!

DanQ,

please move the OT threads about Apolyton meetings into this sub-forum.

Those threads are:

Dutch Apolyton Meeting 2002
Rich and Stew in Europe crap thing...
Bristol stuff..

you'll recognise them

Sincere Regards,
