Why won't it let me post a thread in the off-topic?

  • Why won't it let me post a thread in the off-topic?

I keep trying to post a thread but all I get is this sodding database error. What is up with it?

Are you finding this problem isolated to "Off-Topic" only (obviously, you have successfully posted in "Apolyton/Community")? Can you be more exact as to the nature of the database error? Is anyone else having this problem?

I seemed to suffer from it all night, until I posted this thread and then it seems to be fine. Sods law isn't it?

        I suffered the same.

My posts won't go through on Civ 3 Creation, but then when I reloaded I noticed they appeared... double posted.

And then I tried posting in the OT and it wouldn't let me until I posted that ME thread.

But strange that you still can post, Andy...

I can't seem to start a thread in the OT either. Posting replies works fine.

              this message appears:

"There seems to have been a slight problem with the database. Please try again by pressing the refresh button in your browser.
An E-Mail has been dispatched to our Technical Staff, who you can also contact if the problem persists.
              We apologise for any inconvenience."

The Technical Staff must have had quite some E-Mails, because I tried about a dozen times.
It seems I can start a thread in this forum (I did not submit it, just tried if it would work).

              edit: problem solved apparantly

Well, lets just imagine my question is not hypothetical then...

It appears to be a common phenomenon

I've been trying to post a thread for a few hours now.

I'm about to threadjack all the threads on the first page
