  • Can't post with Mozilla 0.9.7 - Redux

Since my original thread has disappeared I need to put a new one up.

The situation has worsened after the server move. Previously, I can still post even though the server couldn't redirect properly. Now I can't at all make any posts with Moz 0.9.7 at all.

I am not sure if that's a problem with the browser or with vBB version 2.x, as I have no problems with vBB v1.x (Straight Dope Message Board)

    Posting from inside Mozilla 0.9.7...testing.

Well apparently it DOES post, but it doesn't redirect Mozilla to the page after?

Simplify the code a bit so the poor-little-Mozilla can render it, I guess. *sigh*

Can we chalk it up to yet another Mozilla bug?

first of all, if it didnt have any bugs it's version would be 1.x, not 0.x (exception on this general rule of version numbering is microsoft )

second, if it works for you and me, how can it be a bug?

It posts with Mozilla 0.9.7 for me, but it does not redirect at all.

That is whack. Here's how it worked for me:

I hit 'Submit', it seems to be waiting on the server to do something. Nothing happens, it doesn't actually post anything. Then I close Mozilla, and it THEN it posts it.

Are you using Mozilla 0.9.7 for Win32, Thue? Which build are you using, UR?

It's definitely looking to be a browser bug (surprised? )

                        It's Mozilla 0.9.7.

I can't tell if it's a browser bug. It works on vBB 1.x just fine.

Thue, what platform are you using?

Okay, so far Mozilla (Win32) can post a message if the window is closed while [apparently] waiting for the server to do something.
