Is it me or Alpha Centauri is an even better game than Civ3?

It's nice to see some people post here who actually liked SMAC. I always thought it was an excellent game myself. As far as Civ3, I can't say because I don't have it yet. I hope it's at least as good as SMAC which I think it will be from what I have read.

Well, I thought the Workshop wasn't very good... As for the interface, it was passable. The graphics were, well, not that good. What kept me playing was the setting and the factions.
