  • Using multiple IE windows with forums

I like to read the forums using multiple windows but have problems with the window sizes.

I use the right click to generate additional windows...but they are never full sized.

    1. How to I get the new windows to be full sized?

    2. What determines how big and where located for new IE windows??

Well you could click CTRL-N for a new window that is full sized and then click on the link.

Doesn't really solve my problem. If somebody will answer (2), I'll know how to fix the problem.

        This is OT.

The claim that it is On-topic as it relates to browsing these forums is pretty flimsy.

just a stab in the dark but does IE remember the state of the browser when it was last closed and then automatically open that way? i.e. if you close your browser minimised does that lead to your next window being minimised?

            Use www.opera.com instead of MSIE.

I think GM is right. I use multiple windows too but I've made the new window just a little rectangle so it doesn't interfere with what I'm reading and all I do is click on the full screen icon when I want to read it. It works for me.

You can also hit 'F11' to make your IE windows full screen.

None of these replies helps me...except maybe if I manually full size the window??

Yes, just manually resize one of your IE windows to the size you want. Now, close all your IE windows, making sure that the resized window is the last one you close. Now, IE should remember that window size and use it every time you open a new window.

Size and location of the last window before you close it down.
