  • What do you do while waiting for Apolyton pages to load?

I have gotten used to dealing with the fact that it takes a while to load these pages. especially when a thread starts getting full. or also when waitng for the reply screen to appear. it takes 30 - 60 seconds for some threads to load, and if I scroll down during loading, it won't load the whole page, so I've got to do something else.

Usually, I have a game of civ in the background...

Hmmmm... while it was a problem a ways back, I haven't had any problems for a while now. The few times it has loaded slow, I knew it was a network problem, and not Apolyton's fault. average page load for me is around a second... but I have a T1 at work and a cable modem at home
        Keep on Civin'

          Indeed...occasionally I experience some slowness...usually in the evening...but it's OK...the PLT is usually still under 10 seconds...

              Think.

              Click my pen.

Open a new browser window to look something up.

              Pace around the room.

              Go to the Toilet.

              Relax.

Stare on something beside the screen.

              Tilt my head.

              Stretch.

Open a notepad session and write random patterns of junk.

Move the mouse around the screen.

              Litsen to music.

Actually, since I usually have many Apolyton windows open, what I do when waiting for Apolyton to load is to... read Apolyton.

Looks like a lot of people either have a high speed connection at home or visit from work, with a high speed connection. Or both (I'm envious, Ming).

some of us have to deal with a 56k modem, and do other stuff, ecept for stefu's unique solution. I'm going to have to try that!
