From what I've seen, if you turn off cookies at any time between visits, it counts as a logout, even if cookies were restored before the next visit. I see it as a security feature.

It seems to be a vBB security feature. Just in case somebody hijacks your account that person can't post in your name forever.

I get logged out as well. I never change my cookie settings. I suspect it might happen if I am connected here but not actually clicking on anything for a long time. The only reason I say that is that yesterday it happened and I was away from my computer for a number of hours while at Poly.Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny, consume you it will, as it did Obi Wan's apprentice.Comment

I get the same problem but only on my home computer for some reason, which has a standard dial-in connection from a modem. At work or on other computers, I never get logged out. Why does this strange phenomenon occur?Speaking of Erith:
