    Solver...

Solver, you mention above that Ming is to be interview # 6. In your schedule thread and our emails you have me in the #6 spot. What's up?

"Yin Roller Coaster"! LOL! Is so true that I embarrass myself. But I have asked Jeje to burn down my computer if the pattern continues...of course, I haven't told him where my house is, either...

Ming: I know what you mean. I think the interview questions and answers will evolve. But it might be nice to have some more standard questions:

"What drives you to play computer games?"

etc. What do you think, Solver? For the benefit of future interviews, maybe you could ask the community for about 5 standard questions that will reveal the "what makes you tick" angle?

          Excellent interview, Kelly.

And you deserve a lot of credit for the work you have done and for how you have done alot of ... how should I say it... kind of growing up in how you relate your thoughts on the net.

It was at OWO where many of us first learned of Apolyton, and I believe it was there , that you had your first "encounters" with Mark.

Your style has changed immensely and has become more professional and courteous as opposed to confrontational. I have a great deal of respect for that.

And besides, I enjoyed your posts several years ago and still do. We need to get together again for some AoK games. Perhaps a rematch of You and I against Roger and Ned... ala the first time we teamed together and botched things up.

          Good to "read ya" anyway.

Tom: Coming from you, that means a lot to me. I used to be kind of a *****...now, depending on who you talk to, I'm just annoying!

I miss our AoK games very much. In fact, I have a lot more time on my weekends now, so I could actually play! How about we wait for Age of Mythology? Have you seen the new vid footage at Gamespot? WOW!

            BTW, how is the foot?

I'm listening to all the suggestions from FoA threads.
Lancer, you are #6, and Ming remains #7. If I said Ming is #6 ever, it was a mistake.

Yin, you play AoK? Are you hanging on Zone, AoKCC, or where? I'm currently working hard on my return to AoK. Gotta mail you on this, wait for that. Or mail me... Oh, no, mail doesn't work, so better pm.

Yeah, I can understand why some of they folks on the site were disappointed when 'their man' wasn't first, but I found it interesting. I had no idea the depth of this site. I mean I knew it was great but I mainly post in Civ3 and Apolyton. So I see those posters from Civ3 and OT the most. I had no idea about the contributions of the SMAC and CtP boards. Can't wait to hear more.

                    Tniem,
If you haven't already done that, dig up the FoA schedule in this forum.

Kelly, you aren't annoying. You are just you.

The foot is not so good. It is pretty much screwed I guess for who knows how long. Still have to take pain meds pretty regularly. Sucks bigtime... but oh well.

I haven't seen much of the vid. on AoM but i still keep up with the talk at the AoKH site. The game sounds interesting. But I don't know if it will replace my passion for the AoE/AoK series. That is my favorite along with the Diablo series.

But we shall see. And maybe the next weekend I have off, we might work in a game if either of us is free. I'll email you if I get the time. Been busy with work .

Talk to you around here or there.

I'm an enemy of ignoring beta-testers, rushing to market, and leaving the paying customer to sit patiently for the fixes that might never come
That statement is the core of Yin. If you don't understand that then you might think he is just a trouble maker, or that he wants to be the center of attention, or he is annoying. However, once you realize that then your whole perception of him changes. Long ago at the owo forums was when I first met Yin, and I thought he was grandstanding for no reason, but once I saw that he had a legitimate point to make and that he was being serious I have always considered him as a trusted peer.

Yin, I just wanted to say that i appreciate your efforts at making both SMAC and civ3 better games. You have been somebody that I could always look up to. The only other SMAC player that I held as much respect for was anaylist over at the old owo forums. He influenced my strategy more than any other player, and you influenced me to always demand a quality product.

Yin, out of all of the people here I consider you a very good friend. Hopefully Civ3 will have multiplayer and we can play an ip game sometime.

Korn: First of all, I very much look forward to playing some games against each other. I have a feeling I will get my butt thoroughly kicked, but I promise to study the beatings I take. If that doesn't work, I'll call Analyst.

Second: I VERY much appreciate having a trusted peer and friend here on this site who not only thoroughly understands the in-game issues (that's hard enough, since I'll admit I tend to not always focus on the details) BUT also takes the concept of a quality release seriously without sounding like a whining punk (another fine and delicate balancing act).

I can only further thank you for stepping up to explain some tricky concepts involved with ICS and so forth when I couldn't make it clear enough: I felt like I was calling in a carpet bombing! LOL! Pretty good feeling, actually, having quality support like that.

If you ever come out to Korea, I promise to get you sloshed on so-ju. At least that could kill enough of your brain cells to give me a better chance at the next round of Civ, eh?

Excellent insight on a fellow poster, Korn. I agree wholeheartedly.

Yin, what is this so-ju... and will it help my foot.

I just looked up 'soju' on the Net to see if I could post a good image for you, but then this Top 15 Uses for So-ju list popped up. I think it will answer your question:

Sounds like something that might work.

I have exactly 15 years to go until I can retire with my 401k plan.

                                Hope to see you then.
