Joke or not, it might still be worthwhile to set up a PayPal donations thinginabob. Somethingawful.com set one up when eFront went bunk, and so far the webmaster has been able to avoid putting up porn banner ads OR getting a real job.

he's been brainwashed by them... Americans just wouldn't recognize humor if we 'twatted it in their faces', to quote PH from some ICQ talk long, long time ago

You owe me royalties for that quote Ec the Lion. It should be enough to cover my Apolyton dues

How is the advertising revenue coming along nowadays Markos? Are things still going downhill, stabilised or perhaps even getting better...

The PayPal thingy is a good idea. I've got something like $6.37 in my paypal account that is just going to molder there forever because I'll never buy something on eBay for so little. If you set up the PayPal thingy the money is yours.

                    If you say so, Mark.

You could always sell some t-shirts to raise quick cash.

Andy, we only laugh at things that are funny.

it seems like it's continuing to go downhill(for the publishers anyway). example: (unrelated to apolyton) just yesterday cdnow announced to it's affiliates yesterday that it is decreasing their percentages

and that wasnt long ago from july 1 when commission junction cut all click-based programs. it's all about the ads you show creating direct revenue....
cj did one good thing though: they now show you the average $ that each possible advertiser has created from 100 clicks. so you can seek advertising programs who actually make something our of the visitors you sent them. i think it's the first time in a long time that technology is working for the benefit of the publisher
