the problem is that we must make a pre-order for colored t-shirt and we're limited to one design per order so things arent as easy....
After you sell out of these wildly popular shirts, is there any consideration of making a polo-type shirt (shirt with a collar) with a small logo on front?

My order has been delayed by my birthday which is the 17th. Now Mrs. MacUser will be forced to learn how to order online!

The only comment from the peanut-gallery is that the cups are a bit pricey!

Don't worry so much about ordering online with a credit card. I guarantee that it's safer than handing your card to some waiter with a bad attitude in a restuarant! Besides, no one would want to pretend to be you!

Well, the mousepads looks great, but I don't like the (White and Light grey) T-shirts, the colors just don't fit me...and it will be way to expensive to only order the mousepad, since then 1 mousepad will cost me 30$

Ok, I like what I see, but at $15 + $20 shipping, I want to make sure I'm getting stuff that'll fit. What actual measurements is small (T-shirt/sweatshirt), do you know? I'm a most peculiar size, being a reasonable heght, but very very skinny...

Well the shipping charges are a little steep. I quite often ship CDs from the US and that works out at less than $4 shipping a disc, less if I buy more of the things in one go!

Well... I might buy something from it.

However, I'm not sure if anyone noticed it yet but the: "I keep visiting ACS for the last 3 years..."

really should be "I visited ACS for the last 3 years" or "I kept visiting ACS for the last 3 years..."

It would be kind of neat to sell mugs with the different Civ3 leaders' faces on them, buit you would have to work out some sort of a deal with Firaxis....

our first test t-shirt had the civ3 city view in the front, but, well, you know, it's firaxis "material"

now here is something interesting for the legal experts: is a screenshot of a game that you are playing (and which you have payed for) something that belongs to you or to the company?

Lancer, i'm just trying to help out

DarkCloud, but you continue to "keep visiting" until today. if you "kept", it would mean that you stopped, right?

That sounds like a "Fair Use" arguement. I would imagine that the deciding factor is selling the image. It would be okay to for your own use, but distributing and/or selling the art would probably bring out the "sharks." I wonder if ACS could get free permission to use the artwork (screenshots, ect) with prior aproval of the end result. You could argue that it is free advertising for the respective companies.

BTW, if you open a satanic organization and web site, don't use any Apple logos or art!

Great job Markos & Dan! We've all been waiting for this for a long, long time. Good to see the Civ1 intro and 2 of the quotes I suggested got their own T-shirt

BTW, didn't you promise a while ago that certain people (columnists, important modmakers, etc) would get a free T-shirt when they'd become available?

Those shipping costs are indeed extremely high! I did some calculating and came to the conclusion that all things considered (T-shirt/shipping/money exchange), it would cost me about 90 guilder ($35) to buy a single T-shirt, almost 3 times the price of a normal T-shirt around here (and about equally expensive as Civ3 will be when hits the Dutch stores). I would certainly be willing to pay more than the normal price for an Apolyton T-shirt but I'm not sure if it's worth that much money (I'm only a poor student, I can hardly pay my bills as it is!)

But I too am no stranger to the Dutch merchant spirit, so I came up with a way to lower the price a bit, at least for the Dutch Apolytoners We could pull together and buy our products together, sharing the shipping and money exchange costs. One person could order the goodies for all Dutchies interested and pay for them in advance. Once the goodies have arrived I could use my 'OV-Jaarkaart' (which grants me free access to train & bus) to personally deliver all goodies to their owners and collect the money without cost (could take me a full day or more but I for one wouldn't mind: I may not have money but I do have plenty of time ). If enough people are interested we could save as much as 25-30 guilder ($10-13) per person per shipping If anyone working/living in the Netherlands (or close to the Dutch border) is interested, please post here or send me an email.

Well, why don't you contact that particular company you're thinking about and ask them straight-away if they would mind? Even if it's illegal, there would be no problem if they don't mind and promise not to sue
