If the idea of an interview with Alexander's Horse would be well-received but Solver can't face it then I'll offer my services. I'll interview the old nag.
The tone of the interview may be something of a departure from those that have gone before, but something tells me it'd be a bloody good laugh.
You up for it, Dobbin? Are the assorted Head Honchos willing to chance their arms?
Your call.
RU the professional writer? I'm all for a repeat of the incredible interview with catapult and camel.
So we might as well go for the fait accompli. Ming, old drinking pal want to do an interview? I might even be able to do it in person. Then we can just submit it through channels and use our superior connections to the big boss man to get it printed.

Raingoon! Raingoon! Raingoon!
Concrete, Abstract, or Squoingy? "I don't believe in giving scripting languages because the only additional power they give users is the power to create bugs." - Mike Breitkreutz, Firaxis
the 3 I look to for civ3 perspective: yin26 Korn - some number or other raingoon
civ2 guys: Xin Yu there's a reason my version has "Xin Yu's War Academy" Scouse Gits what a lot of work he's done RAH the same stuff you'd get from Ming, but he's more thoughtful.
also: Alexander's Horse yes, the cure for him gives you extra happy people in each city. sometimes I take out his column on how civ ruined his life for laughs. if you could get him to be straightforward, that is. he has a tendency to say inflammatory things for the heck of it.
Any man can be a Father, but it takes someone special to be a BEAST
I was just about to point out that Horsie is simply making excuses in advance for why he will suck at Civ III...
...but Father Beast beat me to it! - Randomturn
Actually I started out posting on the civ 3 forums and made perhaps as many as 1 or 2000 posts there, maybe more, before I even discovered the OT (Lancer is to blame for that I think ). I have at least 8 credits on the first civ 3 list. So part of that game could be me (muwahahaha!!!).
My daily posting routine is visit the civ 3 forum, then civ 2 general, strat, multiplay and then CTP II if I need a laugh I usually have a couple of "serious" threads running - there's one on maximising production in the civ 2 strat forum which is worth a look. I'm also waging a campaign in the civ 3 forum to get Firaxis to take multiplayer seriously - whenever I can think of a topic about it. Apart from that, I think I've convinced just about everyone that building cities on mountains is a cheat and Firaxis sent me an E-mail just the other day to say they wouldn't allow mountain cities in civ 3 - but I've been keeping that to myself (Imran! get over here!)
I post about 5-10 posts on topic per day and maybe a thread or 2 a week. After the game forums, I come to this forum, and then finally the OT, where I hang out if nothing else is going on.
As for Solver, we have to remember his country was under Soviet occupation for many years and they shot or deported the intelligentsia.
Well, there's your interview spoiled
