Is anyone else getting that macromedia pop-up asking if you want to install and run flash 5?

I am getting it almost constantly!

        Caligastia:

I have not experienced any pop-ups on Apolyton for some time now and, indeed, they are annoying.

Were you browsing Apolyton when this happened or..?

Yes, at first it only happened every time I logged in, but then it got more and more frequent. It was coming up constantly while browsing through 'poly. It was not an advertising pop-up, it was a windows security warning asking me if I can trust content from macromedia...

Ah OK -- must have to do with the content of the standard (468x60) banner we carry from UGO requiring Macromedia to run.

Glad to hear that it is gone now.

apparently you got a banner using flash, and ie tried to install it. you had some option turned on to always be asked in such occasions so you kept geting asked as you clicked "no". when you clicked "yes", you installed the flash plugin....
