  • The amazing sneaky "edit message" function

OK- I'm slow on the uptake, but I've just noticed that editing messages no longer causes a "this post has been edited by..." announcement to appear in the post.

I can see that getting misused frequently.

It does, but there's a "grace period," so to speak.

I believe you have 5 minutes to edit a message before an edit message is shown. While this certainly won't allow anyone to alter the entire content of a message, it doess give you an opportunity to correct spelling mistakes, formatting errors etc. I think it's an improvement over the old system.

As the board's worst typist, I appreciate this feature.

...now I see why the Apolyton/Community still makes posts count

            hehe, I wondered why that.

GP, I've noticed that you occasionally go through periods where everthing seems to fall apart...do you ever P.U.I.?

I don't see why it would matter to anybody whether there is a 5 minute grace period during which the message can be edited without having the fact advertised on the bottom of the page. It doesn't bother me that I occasionally make typing mistakes and have to correct them.

Why is it pounding the left arm instead of the right?

There is of course the possibility that it`s a left-handed smiley.

Or that it`s using it`s left arm because it only has one arm.
