    Hmm...

Your avatar gets quite a nasty flash near the top. Could you fix the words so they don't flash on and off? I think that looks better.

        Huh? Should be fine now...
        I'd not noticed any problems.

The words "Immortal Wombat" flash on and off as the critter thrusts with the weapon.

                Hey Snapcase,
after a little bit more (more like 2 hours) I found a better crown.
unfortunately it more for a front shot and not a side shot.

But check it out and let me know what you think.

But I still think the simpsons one is better

This may be a bit insulting to such high class artists such as yourselves, but do you think you could:

                  a) reduce the attached image to an appropriate size

                  and/or

                  b) point me to a free image editing program

                  Thank you!

                    Do you mean this one?

If you take off the left blue field and seal. You can then add a while border and you have the flag for the Army of northern Virignia. Since you have a Max of 64x64 for the avatar it is hard to use a flag without some distortion. Unless you get one of the animated ones like Giancarlo has.

Shrunk. It doesn't look good though.

Hmm, you're right. The text seems to be trouble. In light of which, could you extract the crest and shrink it to an appropriate size (not much needed, I think) from the following?

I had a thread in OT I was practicing with a couple of Avatar possibilities. Snapcase and Hueij were kind enough to offer assistance. Here is a link to the thread.

What I am trying to do is take the attached picture and lighten it somewhat so that it is not so dark when it is shrunk. I've been playing with Corel PhotoShop but the color contrast is wiggy, plus I'm not very experienced with it. If anyone has the time or inclination to tackle this project you'll have my admiration and respect.

I tried to enhance the text in your first one but it didn'y work. How about this second one? (I hope I understood what "Crest" means )

Molly (may I call you Molly? ), the problem with your image is that it has too many details. When you shrink it a lot will be lost.

You can call me whatever you want big boy.

I thought the shrinking came out pretty good with the one above, it's just dark. I felt like if i could lighten the center puzzle piece some, it would be a little clearer when it is shrunk. The biggest problem I've had is the amount of shadowing in the picture. That's what I liked about the one that you shrunk, it is a better contrasting picture, it just doesn't shrink well.

This is the shrunk version of the picture from above.
