  • What's the deal with attachments?

I have just noticed this feature on the end of posts and it seems to allow you to post a whacking big attachment to your posts. What is the purpose of this? Is it disabled? What are the rules on it's use?

Why only those types? Could you at least add SLC? Kind of silly if us SLIC-programmers would have to zip our files while text editors can post them right away...

What about Civ2 .net files? That would considerably speed up the PBEM games currently running on the SLEague and Spanish forums.

(I know you can always zip these file up and attach them that way, but that would not be as straightforward)

Well, it turns out that .net files generally are bigger than 100K We'll have to use zipped files after all. Sorry for the unnecessary bother.

Well, it depends on the no of units currently at play but they are always within the range 105-130 K

Sounds good, but don't all these attachments take up one hell of a lot of server space?
