Well, I for one am trying to be as pertinent as possible.
What were we talking about again?

all things pass quickly away.
Each of you must be completely alert;
never neglectful, never indulgent.

No, it most certainly is not. This thread has both substance and humor, both sadly lacking in the coffee shop.

I'm sorry if that bothers you Mao, but I look at the coffee shop everyday, in the hopes that something interesting may be going on, and everyday, the majority of the posts are *walks in, orders (fill in blank), sits down*. T'aint the most griping thing I ever read. I'm told it once was a place of story lines, and of interesting things, but in my five months here, I've never seen it. I enjoy writing, yet I have never felt compelled to write something there, which shows me something about the lack of substance in it. If you don't care to hear complaints or critisims about it, then address them, and do something about it! Everybody likes to spam now and then (for me, it's endless word associations), but the coffee shop, it's just brainless. *walks in, laughs at Mao sulking in the corner, walks out*

I think Gregor said he had been special forces in the Army (forget which flavor) and then got some kind of deal where he moved into an "in demand" rating in the Nav (weather guesser). He said he was pretty sick of cold chow and being an infantryman. But he was a bull****ter, so ya never know how much to believe.
Seems rather colorful, but who can say if he was for real or not? BTW, my old man was career Navy, and he had many a sea story to tell. He used to say that you always must exaggerate a little bit, otherwise landlubbers wouldn't believe it.

Well in my time I have been emperor of the Roman empire, being a formula one driver and scored the winning goal for my countries team in the world cup. But how do you know I am not bullsh*tting?

Yeah, Goyo (Gregor in colloquial Spanish) was a nice funposter guy. He was in Rota, Andalusia (close to Cadiz), so perhaps he got to know Waku
