That's because you are using a new URL. Once you let your browser memorise this you should have no problems. Also don't forget to enable JavaScript.

Ok, now, when I'm in the Spanish Civ2 forums, I get an "Internet explorer script error."

      Line 211
      Char 77
      Expected ')'
      code 0

Then a lot of url numbers, letters, and other stuff. I am asked if I want to continue, and I say yes, of course. But this seems to happen now every time a access a thread in that forum.

edit; now I've discovered that the error message appears every time I enter a forum anywhere. The "Line" number remains the same, but the "char" number changes. The "Expected ')'" seems the same every time as well.

edit again; I just attempted to send a private message and got the "web site not responding" screen.

edit once more; I just sent a pm, but it only worked when I hit the pm button at the top of the receiver's post in a thread.

      Salutations,

I'm getting script errors all over the site. I'm unable to post in some threads. My account is accepting only my old password, not the new p/w I just got today.

On 800x600, IE5, threads are about twice as wide as my screen. It requires constant horizontal scrolling to read a thread. Ugh!
<img src="/images/blue1.gif" width=100% height=1></font></td></tr></table></center>you are probably seeing a "apolyton.net" thread. this will be solved when "apolyton.net" start working again...
I also have this problem with the page not reformatting to fit the 800 width. I read and post on the Alpha Centauri forum (Forum12). Almost all of the image links there aren't working yet (they still lack the "www"). Other than these two minor things, it appears to be okay. All sections are accessible, and new posts (and replies) go right in.</p>I did experience faster page-loading times throughout the Apolyton site. I have a less-than-great connection (56K modem at 21.6 over 40-year-old telephone lines), so of all things any change in load-speed is most noticeable.
I am on a mission to see how much coffee it takes to actually achieve time travel.

Still having trouble reaching the site. In the Spanish forum, one thread (Modern era pbem) won't show anything on page two, it just says url not found. No matter when I check in, all folders show nothing new. Still can't post in some threads.

              Markos,

Still unable to activate the red folders after I have deleted all the Apolyton cookies and let the server set new ones.

Wouldn't it be easier to write a quick-and-dirty script to change all references of "apolyton.net" to "www.apolyton.net?"

Depending on what browser you are using. Generally speaking, you need to delete all the Apolyton cookies, and then let the server to set new ones. The old ones point to apolyton.net, which doesn't seem to work at the moment.

Everything was - eventually - fine. Today, though, when accessing some threads - even new ones - nothing is appearing. When I hit the Stop button, the thread appears.

You have to configure your browser to accept new cookies. Also try to exit and restart the browser.
