So far I think he's doing an excellent job as the new mod. Although we all saw that pathetic attempt at an April Fool's joke a mile away. He has produced higher than expected results. Does this mean that Ming is now going to slack off? Will MLeanard finally show up? Only time will tell. So, Has anyone else got comments?

I very much like the fact that he made an announcement thread today, informing the OT of the disabling of two logins, and of the reason why they were disabled.

This is something I've often wondered why Ming didn't do. It helps in keeping track of who's not around and for how long, as well as establishing some kind of enhanced precedent for what kind of posting behaviour the mod will accept. All for the better of the community I think.

Keep it up MtG, you're doing fine.

I just saw a message where Mleonard laid the law down. I take back everything I ever said about him. Since I hardly ever saw him on and never made a comment before this thread, that wouldn't be that hard to do.

Damned fine compliment from one troop to another. Doing the job is what it's about. Thanks to anyone else for the compliments as well.

Eli - you chilled when I asked you to. So I didn't see any reason to ban you.

If I can work things out with posters behind the scenes, by pm or ICQ, I prefer to do it that way, rather than make public displays and disrupt the forum. As long as that works, then that's the way I'll handle things, unless I think something needs to be visibly addressed so that others know the policy.

I have no trouble separating my poster self from my mod job. The only thing is I lock the flamethrower up.

There are some people who will over time be some of the biggest pains in my mod job, but I like them personally and their trolls crack me up - but I have a job to do.

There are some people whose views on some subjects (and obtuseness, IMO, though I'm sure they think the same of me ) drive me nuts, but they never even come close to violating any of the rules.

The fun is in the posting though, so I won't give it up unless I really run low on time. Having to read all the threads and do the mod job forces me to post shorter, so I'm sure there are some sighs of relief there.
