Private Forums
Why are there so many private forums? In the Apolyton FAQ it says that "club threads, eg. Emperor only threads" aren't allowed. Surely "Apolyton staff"-only threads are just the same. I am not saying that they are evidence of hypocracy in the upper echelions of Apolyton, but a News Room and a Staff Room? Isn't that a bit much?

The News Room serves a very important purpose, actually, and is probably only temporary. MarkG can tell you more if he feels it's the right thing to do. -

It's where the mods go to smoke so the young impressionable poster don't see them.
I think I've also seen a couple of empty Vodka and Uzo bottles rolling on the floor as I walked past...but I can't be sure.

Wouldn't some of you like to know what's going on in there.
I won't say anything about the contents of the staff room of course, but it gives us a common place where all of us can communicate about whatever it is we communicate about and have the discussion there for any of us to see any time. I personally believe that they created all those private forums so they can all work on their post counts without us normal people calling them spammers.

Yeah Yeah, I know they can change their counts at will, but it sounds good.It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

Not really, but I wondered why there is two. They total 19 topics between them, surely these would fit into 1 forum?

Let me put it this way- there are three private forums, and no two of them share exactly the same member group. All of them also have some members that are not part of the other two.Comment

Staff Forum- Become a member of staff, by applying for a job.
Diplomacy Worldmasters- Become a membe of the Apolyton Diplomacy Team by playing a lot of Diplomacy in the S&D forum.
News Forum- You ain't getting in there anyway. No use trying.
