Yes. It seems that an original text is found and an added one isn't found.

An example: <A HREF="http://www.apolyton.net/forums/Forum1/HTML/001910.html">Civ2-General/Help: The Great Library: a hierarchical structure</A>

Search: Match all search terms above, Search For Exact Name (case sensitive), Entire Message, Any date:
        Search words:
        1. (added text)
        only 2nd level
        result: 0 total

        2. (original text)
        fill missing topics
        result: 1 total

The text comes from the starting post.
        <hr>
But I have more bad examples and only one where added text was found: it was in the Apolyton/Community.

          it's not a bug, it's just a lack of a feature

Is it possible to fix it?

It causes problems if we try to put "keywords" to threads:

i believe the problem can be overcome whenever the search index is rebuild(which is done every now and then)

anyway, we'll build a big database system for the great library one day, wont we?

                  LOL!
I tried to search for a deleted text: the system successfully found it!

There was "abcdef" in place of "deleted": http://www.apolyton.net/forums/Forum1/HTML/001910.html

:-) I have understood it now.
How often is the search index rebuilt?

slowthinker. You really love thinking heirarchies. Have you read the Pyramid Principle?

It is a book by Barbara Minto. You may be able to get it in the national library. It has several translations. Basically a book that emphasisizes the importance of grouping thoughts in heirarchies to form better arguments.

While you're talking about the search feature, there's one thing that would be really useful for me. Right now search only ids the thread... Could it instead send you to the correct message with the hit? This really becomes an issue with our Clash of Civs design discussion 3-4 page threads -- you have to go by hand to figure out where the right date is before searching for the text. It'd be great if the link from the search could put you right at the correct post!

I know this may be a UBB problem rather than Apolyton-specific. If its UBB that's to blame, can you request that the link from a search take you to the top of the relevant post?

                            Thanks,
