first of all, we prefer covering fewer games in the best way than more games in the worst way and in some of the games we cover we have a lot of stuff to do before doing it in the best way

second, in the great majority of occassions we create forum when there is already a need. an example: we created a ctp2-creation forum expecting discussion on the topic. the traffic was so much we decided to split it in three. so talk all you want about EU in the other games forums(that's why we've created it) and if the traffic justifies it....

OK, but that may never happen. CGN already has an EU forum, so people may just go there. At least some of the posts here express a desire for a forum here so more "furuming" needs are met by one site, rather than multiple.

That's pretty much what I said. So now I have to go all the way over to CGN to the EU forum.

By the way, welcome to CGN.

I'll take this as an open mind Mark.
If the people marketting/translating this do their job (and incidentally get me my game before I go mad ) then IMHO traffic well might justify it.

If apolyton (eventually) opens a forum, I'm guessing people will come back again. We just need to sp.. .. er, post vociferously and volumously in "Other Games" for a while.

Well, if the traffic is there, say anything greater than 2 posts per week, then EU will be more active than the Dinosaurs forum.

Hey! That's an idea! Mark, can we just get the Dino forum renamed to Europa Uninversalis? The forum already exists, and it's all but unused, AND, it's even already in the Alternative Civs / Other Games section.

                John, that's freaking BRILLIANT!

Can we rename the Dino's forum?

the only EU thread in the other games forums did not have a post in the last two days. i fail to see how a eu forum would be more active than the dino forum....

Because we all happen to be posting elsewhere... I guess you had your shot, but our attention spans are too short

Look at the EU forum in CGN... already has a bunch of posts...

I'd guess that if there were an EU forum here that most users would gravitate here. But since there is a good forum elsewhere most will likely adjust to the minor inconvenience and go there to talk about EU.

Also, EU has not been released in an English language version yet. My guess is that when that happens there will be a lot more activity.

Looks like CGN is going to be collecting the ad click/page hit money on this one. Oh well...

                            LOL!

Mark, I have no problem going to another site for other game forums, but I have to admit, like some other posters here I would prefer the convenience of being able to do all of my foruming in one place.

Unless EU is a real bust (highly doubtful from what I hear) it's likely to be my "main game" for some time so I'll probably spend a fair amount of time on their forums. But I'll still need to come here for my MP AC games and Civ II succession game and maybe even a little OT ( ) so I'll be fairly evenly split between the two locations.

It can't be any worse than CTPII. Unless they tried to make it bad.

Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame
                                With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame,
"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
With silent lips."Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

The wretched refuse of your teeming shore,
