Forums front page problem

I've gotten a new browser (<a href="http://www.opera.com/">Opera 5</a>), and they're as unusable as ever.

The cramped and overly-complicated layout makes it difficult for me to focus on any one item. The forum titles are difficult to read, and the individual news items run together into unreadability. The "private messages" area gets lost between the polls and the news items, and the "Online Users" section is an unreadable mass of text.

aargh! one day we should learn the art of making precise complaints
i downloaded opera and saw the forums front page on 1024x768 and 800x600. it's 97% indentical with ie(or netscape)!

In Opera 5.02 the page looks just as cramped as in IE 5.5 (800x600)...

With my previous browser they were just as bad. I'd hoped it was simply a matter of Netscape misinterpreting the HTML.
