Smilies 'n' Message Icons - Rumbles of dissent?
Smilies. I like 'em sir, yes I do. But this doesn't mean there isn't room for improvement.
Take the
, or embarrassment smilie, for example. Looks a bit too much like the 'angry' 
smilie, wouldn't you say? For the record, I'd like to see an 'ouch' smilie:

An ASCII version, for your perusal. Would've centred the 'O', but couldn't, y'see?
Where real change is needed is the Message Icon list. That uniform shade of blue just isn't expressive enough. As an act of protest, I have boycotted the choice of icons granted when writing a new post, so this thread starter will sport the default 'paper list' icon. Born to be wild, I was.
Also, I have read genuine complaints that posters (people, not the wall decorations) have not been able to alter their message icons when editing their posts. A minor, perhaps even insignificant, quibble, yes; given the extent of the tragedies we see daily on the news. But there you go.
Well, what d'you think? Like to see any smilie/icon reform going on? Write here, or forever hold your piece...sorry, peace.
