Anyway, I think EVC's argument is (in simplier terms that even I can understand ) that he feels that since his threads were deleted before turning into a flame-war or spam-fest, it was unjust to delete. He wants them to at least have a chance. If they do turn into flame-wars or spam-fests, then they could be deleted and the violator appropriately punished. His thread are being deleted, not by his unruly actions, but by the unruly actions of others.

True, most of his views are controversial, but he should still be able to state his opinions. I'm sure that he faces enough difficulties in "real life." To be denied an opportunity to learn how others feel about his beliefs and to defend his own beliefs is depriving him of knowledge and skills crucial to his pursuit of happiness.

DaShi has stated what my annoyance is (very well) but has failed to mention what my complaint is.

My complaint is that Ming is discriminatly deleting my threads without consistency to either procedure or precidence with other posters.

Then following Ming's attitude of "take it or leave" then I can only rationally conclude that he is being an ass to me. I've tried to cite procedural and philiosophical examples to prove otherwise, however, by your own response Ming you have solidified your actions towards me as nothing more than being a jerk. And a jerk with power is called a bully, or with more colorful termonology a tyrant!

I hoped this was an issue concerning policy and the enforcement of that policy, instead I have discovered that this is an issue of your intentional abuse towards me.

I would like a reconciliation or at least a compromise, though it is seemingly more and more implausable.

For my worthless 2 cents, I would concur with DaShi that serious threads, with a RISK (as opposed to a clear purpose) of turning into flame wars, should not be preemptively deleted. Such action should wait until actual offesive is begining.

EVC, I do not believe you are being targeted by Ming. He has taken preemptive action commonly on thread topics with some small risk of starting a flame war including one of mine and several other I have observed or heard about in the short time I have been here. I concur that there is some lack of consistancy wheather he deletes or locks, but inconsistancy is inherent in a "quick look and decide" system such as this forum; it is in the very nature of the creature.

Anyhoo, some of the topics you bring up might be interesting to discuss, if you can avoid the annoying flowery language and mysterious behavior and maybe show a little humor/friendliness in the midst of the discussions. The race topic in particular was interesting.

That very same thread is currently being debated on ACOL in a calm and civilised manner. Ming has posted on it, and shown his approval of the way it has been debated. The problem appears to be with the posters at Apolyton, not the topic of thread.

Had the thread come from someone other than EVC, I suspect there would have been no spam posts, or hate posts. In fact, I'm sure I could re-phrase the thread and get a perfectly civil discussion out of it.

I think it's a topic worth debating. Would I attract censure for doing so?

That is a lie, it was deleted within 5 minutes of its being posted with less than 3 total responses (deleted before even my initial response could be posted to the first response).

Well I find it hard to be coincidental when 5 out of every 6 threads I post get deleted. But I agree this is under the "quick look and decide" system:
