I meant Apolyton- The Book as the subject of this thread.

GP: I had but a second to glance at it, here is what I was editing the second post to say:

            Prologue

It was a dark and stormy night in Northern Greece and Markos Gianoppolis (sp?) was sitting at his desk, quietly surfing the GreekNet (Internet ) and began to form an idea in his head. "What if I created a Greek Civilization site?"

So he spoke, and so it was done.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean Dan Q, owner of The Civ II Universe, was puttering away at his computer adding mod packs and scenarios, mainly made by the master scenario designer Mike McCart, and came across a site known as "The First Greek Civ II Site", being greek himself (?) Dan decided to e-mail the owner and entered into a conversation with Markos.

On ___ 1998 the site which is know known as Apolyton was formed, dedicated to Civ, Civ II, and with a forum filled with colorful characters such as DarthVeda, Red Trotskyite, and King Clovis.

They came from all over the world to this fair message board, they came for Civilization, they came for Alpha Centauri, they came to play, to discuss, and to have fun.

Markos and Dan looked upon what they had wrought and it was good.

            They smiled.

            So ends the Prologue

but perhaps I should cahnge it to say

            Afterword
Ming the merciless, ming the oppressor has deleted many threads in Apolytons history and has sought to quash this story for various reasons unknown to us.

              DC,

You should have read what I wrote. You were too interested in what you had to say. Bad Kharma. No wonder the thread is gone.

Cram it DarkCloud... you put in THREE "place holders" posts... spam spam spam... it got what it deserved.
Maybe if you hadn't been LAZY... and actually typed something, it might still be there.

Well, then perhaps you should have merely warned me, I only put 2 place holder spots in the thread!

The first place holder was going to be deleted and the story was to be placed in the spot of the place holder.

The second place holder was for overflow.

I posted place holders because I didn't want people to have to scroll halfway down the topic to read the idea of the thread.

                    It was not spam.

I'll delete that part in the second post in this thread insulting you, but the second post in this thread was ingenious, shall I say

Ming- I appreciate your moderatorship, but please, the reason you gave for deleting the thread was not that good.

Note: I will start a thread on this tommorrow (8 hour limit) and post the writing I had in it and create a placeholder. If I cannot do this, say so below.

GP- what was your response about?

I suggested instead that we should have a TV show and that the Brady Bunch theme song and message is an appropriate anaology for Mark and Dan's union.

                      Kharma, man!

Actually you should have just said what you were doing so Ming understood. BTW, is it a story thread you are starting or a serious compilation of history. Do you need input from posters? How? Why? Also, why didn't you write what you needed before posting the thread? That way you could have filled your placeholders immediately.

                        Right on target GP...

If you are going to do it... just do it. I would not have deleted your thread if you had put into it what you did here. Instead you put in "place holders" between the spam that had already started because you were too stinking lazy to type anything.
What the heck did you expect!
So do it right, or don't even bother
