I found out an odd feature of the interface, probably obvious to the rest of you.

YOu can nest replies to threads.
    Actually it's only the interface.
You can hit "reply to topic" from *inside* the "thread scroll box" at the bottom of a "reply to topic" page.
You'll be presented with another posting form *inside* the "thread scroll box" with a nested "thread scroll box" in it, and so on.

Wherever you post from, of course, the posts will only be sequential.
OK, it's coherent, and it's not a problem.
I was just surprised by it at first...
I don't exactly know what I mean by that, but I mean it (Holden Caulfield)

All of this will be irrelevant when we finish switching the boards to a branching thread format.

You're just huffy about the 8 hour rule. That will be relaxed after the transition since activity will die down immensely.

yeah I'd imagine their goal is to drive as many people away from this site as possible

I see you continue to spread this false rumor. Both owners of this site have confirmed that the current style will continue, and there is NO WAY they are switching to a branching thread format. I know you have been told this before, but I would hate to see people think that this would happen

In case there were any gullible people, the branching thread thing is a joke. I got an incredible lack of support for it.

I'm just having fun by acting like everybody loves the idea, when they hate it.

Oh, for any other gullible people, Reismark didn't rig the election, at least as far as I know. I just like teasing him about it.

are branching threads done differently? I am not sure what the differences are and what do you call this type of thread then ???

A word of warning. I noticed this sometime ago and have posted this way three times, twice it caused the thread to vanish without trace…I don’t know if any other manifestations of the Apolyton curse have their roots in this phenomenon but its something to note. I believe that in both cases of thread death the thread was over one page long.

Narck, that’s your answer, that’s how it happened. Assuming your remember asking me how it happened….
