  • Porno ads again?

    Thus spake the Dragon

  • #2
Mine just says "If you can't" and then freezes, with the top of omeones head half-covered by someone's chin.

(I thought the "She's Coming...Protect Yourself" ad was a bit low myself...)

Porno ads? So what? Just ignore them. It`s hardly as it`s a picture of someone doing a woman up the arse now, is it?

          Interesting... what's wrong with that?!

No, in Australia we don't live with kangaroos and koalas in our backyards... Despite any stupid advertisments you may see to the contrary... (And no, koalas don't usually speak!)

i can understand you being sensitive about the specific ad, but if think this is porno...
isn't it always to describe things as they really are?

beyond that, as we have said many times, we do not choose the ads one by one. if you have a problem with the ad, complain to the advertised.

Haven't seen this one before, but if we had a problem with that ad about the nude codes, this is way worse.

wow, I didn't notice it at first. but now I see it. At first I couldn't figure out why everyone thought it was so bad.

well that's weird. after I posted, it changed. but it looked like she was performing a certain act before. Her head seemed to be moving back and forth. But now it just flashes to different parts of body.

Markos, I thought we got rid of thes ads. UGO seems like a sneaky bunch. Would you consider direct user fees instead. I would gladly pay.

Thanks to Webwasher I don't usually see advertisements. I was considering turning it off to help Apolyton's revenue, but now I know to keep it on. Thanks for the warning. This is about the fifth time that UGO has shown this crap after promising to turn it off. I also know not to browse Apolyton in the school library.

                          Markos, who is "the one"?

Maybe if we went to a different format of bulletin board (I won't say which) , we would have less readers and no ad companies would bother with us anyway?

The person at UGO who looks after the advertising run on affiliated gaming sites is the one who chooses the banner. These ads serve more than just to keep these forums online, GP, but also the entire site which takes up hundreds of MBs of diskspace, not to mention the bandwidth usage.

We have stated repeatedly in the past how to complain about ads that you feel are questionable, and this (forum thread) is not one of them.
